In a loft built around a 300 year old tree in Constantia, Renee has developed an intimate and comfortable space for learning which reflects her integrative Pilates approach. Renee considers herself fortunate that her trainers are grounded in an array of related disciplines, from professional dancers to biokinetics. Each individual has formidable talent in their own right, and come together as arguably the most extra ordinary collection of Pilates instructors in Africa.
Renee believes in quality education for Pilates professionals and her instructor courses have seen more people trained in Pilates than any other institution in Southern Africa. Renee Watson Pilates Courses (Conscious Movement Education) have been recently recognized by the Pilates Method Alliance (PMA) in the United States. Renee’s studio also offers workshops for professional development throughout the year.
Although Pilates is the primary focus of the studio, it is a holistic centre incorporating several disciplines. The studio has opened itself to an eclectic mix of practitioners to help keep the mind and body stimulated and nourished. Some of these numerous services include Feldenkrais, Gyrokinesis® and Pilates Retreats in Malawi.
Renee Watson is a founding member of the South African Pilates Education Providers Alliance (SAPEPA).
